Okay, yes. I'm impressed that you double check that you have it all straight.
1900
Edvard Andersen born in 1869 in Laurvik IL - he's the husband of Anna and appears to be the father of the children below
Anna Andersen born in 1867 in Christiania - this is Anna Emilie Guttormsen, sister of Ragna Guttormsen
Guttorm Andersen born 1892 (Christiania and Stavanger both noted as birthplace?) -- listed as their son
Edvin Andersen born 1893 in Stavanger -- listed as their son
Margit Andersen born 1900 in Stavanger -- listed as their daughter
Elen Guttormsen born 1833 in Solřr Hed -- Anna's mother

The automatic hint on Ancestry.vom shows that Edvard was previously married in 1884 in Akershus, Norway in 1884 to Anna Cecille Jensen, as well.

Please feel free to input whatever you wish into the Casper Family Tree. I would be honored if you did. I would like it to be as complete as possible especially to reflect the Norwegian relatives.

Washerwoman, widow Ellen Gutormsen nee Johannesen emigrated from Oslo on 24 Aug 1906.
Born 04 Aug 1833, residence Nauberggate 31 III, destination New York, "to her children".
Ellen Gutormsen (73) from Christiania arrived New York on Sep 04, 1906 on the ship The Oscar ll.
She was headed for Son-in-law Mr. Carl Hallberg in Ridgefield Park, New York.

This must be Anna Marie Charlotte Guttormsen:
Marie Guttormsen (21), emigration from Oslo on 23 May 1893. Destination New York. This was just 7 months after her son Harald Edvard was born.

Anton Nihleen, Marie Nihleen and Rosa Nihleen Squire arrived New York on Oct 7, 1925.
Did they stay in Scandinavia for several years?
As previously found by JaneC (page 5); their passport was issued 30 Apr 1921. Purpose: Traveling to Norway and Sweden to visit relatives.
Gustav and Norma Casper are also on the ship.

The 1921 passport application for both Marie and for Anton states they intend to return in six months. I think probably they did.

Passport states:
"I desire a passport for use in visiting the countries herein named for the following purpose:
1. Sweden and Norway - visit relatives and return to US
2. Denmark, Britain - travel"

They appear in the New Rochelle, New York city directory (this is near New York and could be considered part of the New York City metropolitan area) 1929, 1930, 1932, 1936, 1938, 1940 but of course these are only the "hits" that come up on Ancestry.com. Anton Nihleen had a successful business in New York; one suspects he traveled back and forth to Sweden to visit family (he could afford to) rather than return to Sweden to live for a while.

Below, a number of additional travel records.

Thanks, I am trying to input pertinent information as it is received. On another noted, my grandfather, Einar Casper (Kasperson) was known by the family to have been a Norwegian Sailor. So far there has been no documentation to verify, that I have seen. Are you aware of any data on this?

He was 19 when he emigrated, so not so much time to make a career before he went to America.
