I'll check on what I have for references but pretty confident on this.

In my cousins Ancestry tree she has Anne Margreth Jorgensdat as daughter of Anne Olsdat. Bjerke and Jorgen Gullikson b 1794 - I can't confirm this information. Most of my research has been on my paternal ancestry. As we know there is a lot of mis-information on Ancestry.

I've searched the Hurdal Church Registries for birth announcement for Anne Margrethe Jorgensdat. with no luck ...very strange . Any suggestions ? ..local parish for Eidsvoll Akershus is indicated Hurdal Lake?? I'm puzzled?

One explanation is that she was born in Eidsvold and her parents were also married in Eidsvold. Most of the Eidsvold parish records were destroyed in a fire in 1877.

Good suggestion Jane. See number 77

Woo hoo!!!

Anne Margrethe Jørgensdatter, Rustad, confirmed in Hurdal in 1841, age 15 [born ca 1826]
vaccinated 04 August 1826???
Parents Jørgen Gulliksen and Anne Olsdatter

Her marriage likely in Hurdal; oldest child in 1865 census was born ca 1857, but there could have been an earlier infant who died...

In the baptism record for the child Ingeborg Maria the witnesses are

Mari Gulliksdatter Rustad
Ole Gulliksden Lille Rustad
Lars Gulliksen Lille Rustad

Kristine Osdatter Bjerke
Christin Olsen Bjerke

A case could be made for the Rustad group to be related to Jørgen and the Bjerke related to Anne Olsdatter

In the 1801 Census there is a family with the father Ole Olsen and mother Anne Jørgensdatter on Nordre Rustad. It is a long shot but this could be the parents of Anne Olsdatter born about 1800. I would assume she was born later than that year since a son Jørgen was born in 1800. See first entry on right hand page.

https://media.digitalarkivet.no/en/kb20061106020273

Some of the witnesses listed such as Anders and Inger could be also found in the 1801 Census page where Gullich Jørgensen is found. I repost it here

http://digitalarkivet.arkivverket.no/en-gb/ft/person/pf01058231001034

Unfortunately I can not find an Anne born to Ole Olsen and Anne Jornsdatter.

Their children are

Lars 1792
Catrine 1793
Mari 1796
Jorgen 1800

1801 Census for Gullich Jørgensen

The 1865 Census indicates that Anne Margrethe Jorgensdat. was born in Hurdalen ...as opposed to Eidsvoll. Is this significant?

It is significant in that if she was born in Hurdal we should be able to find a baptism record. If she was born in Eidsvoll it is my undestanding that the parish records are not available.

In the night Jan. 9. 1877 Eidsvoll rectory burned down and the church books back to 1681 were lost. Hurdal and Feiring became an independent parish 1777, so church books after 1777 were saved for Feiring-Hurdal, and thanks to the priests assistent and sacristan in Hurdal and Eidsvoll, Joakim Johannesen, the parish register copies after 1861 were saved.

The marriage record is arguably more important. The confirmation record shows that Jorgen Gulliksen Rustad DID have a daughter Anne Margrethe b ca 1825, even though the bygedebok accidentally omits her. What is not confirmed is that she is the woman who married Ludvig Johnsen Braaten. The information about his bride as listed in the marriage record identifies his wife.

I looked through marriages 1852-1859 in Hurdal and did not see them. Maybe someone else could check. They could have married in a different parish. If in Eidsvoll, the evidence is gone.

Another route would be if USA records tell her parents' names and/or farm names, DOB, etc.

Another path to clues, the godparents at the baptisms of the children of Ludvig and Anne Magrethe.
