See Einars posting above "Hanna Julia, her parents and siblings 1865" on farm Rakkestad.
A photo of Rakkestad 1956 on page 377 and info on your family starts on last chapter, page 380....sold in 1849 Rakkestad for 3000 Riksdaler (lots of money) to Otto Holst from By........and continues on page 381 (2 chapter) where Ottos son Jens (Arnt) Holst (age 5 in the 1865 ceneus) sold Rakkestad to merchant Torger Yggeseth in 1918 for 80 000 Kroner (ca 1.5 million Kroner in 2013)
Take some time to load the doc. click here
This translater works well ca 90 % link
Rakkestad was first cultivated ca 600-800AC, in the start of the Viking age
Good luck.

This is so interesting. I cant wait to add all this info to the family tree I am building and share with my family. Thanks for the additional information, Kare!
To think that my family came all the way from Norway on and around that farm and eventually settled in Northern Alberta.

Otto Holst`s wife Bolette Olsdatter was from Fedt sub parish in Rĉlingen
Bolette was daughter to farmer and "Lensmann" Sheriff Ole Pedersen and Else Nielsdatter on farm Strĝm store (Major Strĝm) He was Sheriff in Rĉlingen from 1800-1824
Strĝm store seems to have been a large farm, 5 "Tienestefolk" servants worked for him. He also owned 5 subfarms leased by crofters link

Sheriff Peder Gjerdrum died Feb. 12. 1800. Ok, so Ole Pedersen succeded his father as Sheriff.
Bodil M. Bloch, Farmer and Sheriffs widow on farm Hoff 1801 with 2 daughters and five servants, two of them were soldiers in the Artillery. Farms of a certain size were required to "feed" one soldier or more.
