 correct mothers name of Christopher Nielsen

there seems to be two different mothers names for Christopher Nielsen. would someone kindly clarify this?

Only two of the above records mention the mother of Christopher Nielsen -- the 1801 census and the birth/baptism record. They happen to record different patronymics for the mother.

Perhaps a marriage record for Niels Larson and Kirsten/Kierstie or possible birth/death record of any other children would unbalance the disagreement.

Or if the parents can be found in the book(s) "“Vangsboka”, 3 volumes by Odd Stensrud that might help you.

thank you for the input suggestions. I have been looking thru the ar chives for a marriage record for the parents. but yet to find one. will keep searching and will try to find the bydgebok.

I did check for a birth record of Kirstie or kristen 1746-1749 in Vang but not found.

also I check for other siblings of Christopher from 1781-1786 without a find. and checked engagements for his parents from 1779-1789 without a find.

the farm was Finborud which is not in one of the volumes
