Can anyone tell me what the record about Ole says? Record 4 on right page.

Source information: Oppland county, Slidre, Parish register (official) nr. 1 (1724-1814), Birth and baptism records 1759, page 248-249.

I am trying to find the birth of Ole or Maren and all I could find is the birth of their son. I am hoping this record will give me and idea of when Ole or Maren Aarøe were born. I would have put the link to the record in this email but I am not sure of how to do that. Thanks for any help I may get.

Bendix' parents seems to be Ole Pedersen & Maren Catrine Aarøe.
Marriage: 01 Apr 1750, Søndre Land, Oppland, Norway.

The name Heyde / Heide / Hejde is mentioned a lot.... could originate from the Heide Rectory in Borge, Østfold?

What does the rest of the record say? What are the names of the other people? Are they godparents? I am trying to find out more about the parents Ole and Maren. Thank you for replying.

There is a Martha Marie Heide mentioned... could be Martha Marie Blomberg (nee Heide) (1756 - 1813). There is also a capt. Heide mentioned... in the marriage record 9 years earlier there is a Lieutenant Heyde mentioned.
Lieutenant/Captain Heide must be Claus Bendixen Heide (1696 - 1772).

Claus Bendixen Heide
Son of Bendix Andersen Heide and Elisabeth Steenkuhl
Husband of Lykke Hansdatter Schougaard
Father of Elisabeth Marie Heide; Anna Maria Christina Heide and Anne Margrethe Marie Hals Heide
Brother of Johan Heide; Andreas Bendix Heide; Margrethe Marie Heide; Berthe Sofie Heide; Anna Catharine Heide and 3 more

This is what I read as godparents from the christening:
Martha Maria Heide, Else Katharina Wessenberg, capt. Heide, Hartvig Bugge, Jacob Wilhelm Bugge.
All quite "noble" names..., for sure no small-holding farmers... possibly military?
Was Ole Pedersen a soldier?

Here is Maren Catrine Aarøe in census-1801.
It says she is a widow after her 2nd marriage, and she is living on poor support from the local parish.
Maren is living with the household of her daughter Ingebor Olsdotter. Since the daughter is named Olsdr, her father must be Ole Pedersen.
Maren's second husband Lars Olsen Skatteboe was a sergeant in the army.
Even though Maren was a poor in 1801, she must have come from a distinguished family.

Based on the last records, Ole Pedersen should be born around 1717, and Maren Catrine Aarøe should be born around 1721.
