Karlot Johansen Lindstad (Linstad) was born 16.03.1897 in Helgaker, Gran, Hadeland, Norway. Dp: 18.04.1897 Tingelstad/Gran, Oppland, Norway.

He emigrated to USA, havn't found the date.

He lived in South Plainfield, Middlesex, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and died there in (1. March?) 1976.

Did he have any Family?

At the actual manifest at ellisisland.org you find he is engaged to sail on the Ottar on 13 Aug 1919 at New York, so working on the crew. The actual index at ellisland has his first name as Karlat. His age is 22 and his height is 5 ft, 8 inches and weighs 165lbs

Here is a possible (although the age is off by a few years) working as a miner in Pennsylvania in the 1940 census. He is married but has only a stepson in the household:
