Axel Lie in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, Records, 1875-1940
Name: Axel Lie
Event Type: Marriage
Birth Date: 14 Dec 1859
Marriage Date: 4 Jul 1882
Marriage Place: Brooklyn, New York
Spouse: Mariano Larsen
Spouse Birth Place: Hedemoden Norge
Father: Andreas N Lie
Mother: Marie Torstensen
Spouse Father: Saro Henriksen
Spouse Mother: Petra Olsen Pettersen <--------
Church Name: Our Savior's Lutheran
Church Location: Brooklyn, New York

The transcription omits Pettersen, but it is added in the handwritten original in the churchbook list - below Olsen but above the person next below on the list. It seems to my mind to belong to Petra Olsen.

Also, I wonder if this is not the Anton Eriksen mentioned in the same record.Groom is 48 and bride is 30. A closer look at the original shows the birth to be 20-3-38. . I notice that the bride has Mariano (sp?) Rosenquist as a witness. Also the name Marie Torstensen appears in the marriage record posted by the OP that began this search?

This is probably Anton Eriksen and Marie Torstensdatter in 1900. So his birth year should be 1838. Anton immigrated in 1869 and Marie in 1883. Probably his second marriage.

Maybe the connection is through Mariane's husband. Here is a possible for Martinius Tostensen, who was born in Svelvik.
