Thank you so much for your reply. It is so helpful to me! I really don't know which census I'm looking at - just referring back to a comment by Nancy Sandy from 6/7/2016 where she mentions the 1900 census and also eibache's comment of 5/7/2016 which mentions the 1898 census. They are titled ministerial bok so I'm not sure if that's a baptismal record or a true Norwegian census. Again, thank you.

#26 (bottom half of page) Olaug Katinka's baptism:
SAKO, Lier kirkebøker, F/Fa/L0016: Ministerialbok nr. I 16, 1895-1900, s. 43
Brukslenke for sidevisning: https://media.digitalarkivet.no/kb20051031020333

Most of the stuff about Olaug occurs on page 6 of the topic. The original poster was seeking information about Joseph Hansen. His wife Marie was supposed to be the sister of Julie, the wife of Harald Hanson. Olaug is related to the two wives.

From the Register-Star (Rockford, Illinois) Tuesday 27 Oct 1981 page 12, col 3 "Olaug Johnson"

Her survivors are:
"...a daughter Mary Ann Dusing, Machesney Park, two sons Olliver Johnson, Rockford, and John Johnson, Rockford; a sister Kristen Stang, Rockford and 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren..."

By the 1875 Census Otto Christiansen and Karen Olea Pedersdatter were married, living in Drammen no children yet.

1875

Christian baptism in 1876

#124

Otto Christiansen married Karen Olea Pedersdatter on Dec 12, 1875.

#66

He was born Aug 15, 1852 and his father was Christian Hansen. That matches with the Otto found by Jackie in the 1865 Census . She was born Jan 30, 1848 and her father was Peder Christiansen.

Here is the baptism record for Otto, birth matches the marriage record and parents match those found by Jackie in the 1865 Census.

Otto Christensen
in the Norway, Select Baptisms, 1634-1927
Name: Otto Christensen
Gender: Male
Birth Date: 15 aug 1852
Baptism Date: 17 okt 1852 (17 Oct 1852)
Baptism Place: , Skjeberg, Ostfold, Norway
Father: Christian Hansen
Mother: Johanne Borgersdr
FHL Film Number: 255789

The name of Borger Brynnildsen is rather unique and perhaps you can trace him further back in time. There is a husband and wife in Ancestry.com of Brynel Biornsen and Tore Christiansdatter that might be the parents of Borger. Here is the baptism record for their son Borger born in 1778.

Borger Brynilsen
