Sacramento (California) Bee, Thursday 3 April 1952, pg 41 col 8
"Man's Death Was Due to Natural Causes
The coroner's office reports Oscar Thorset, whose body was found in his blood marked apartment at 721 G Street yesterday, died of natural causes.

An autopsy revealed the cause of death as an internal hemorrhage. Thorset also suffered from chronic alcoholism and jaundice.

Bruises on his body led to speculation he may have been beaten. However, the autopsy surgeon's report labelled them as 'immaterial.'

Thorset died yesterday."
