The 1895 Minnesota Census is the first record I have found of her in the U.S.
Family search for death of Carrie Mikkelson 1940 shows her Mother as Kari Holen
for some reason I can't post link. It is her history in Norway I'm looking for if at
all possible.

[Here is a marriage record for a group contains a Markus Mikkelsen.

Kari Ellepdotter
in the U.S., Evangelical Lutheran Church in America Church Records, 1826-1969
Name: Kari Ellepdotter
Gender: Female
Record Type: Marriage
Birth Place: Io
Marriage Date: 27 Nov 1885
Marriage Place: Otter Tail, Minnesota, USA
Spouse: Markus Mikkelson
Church Name: Bethlehem Lutheran
Church Location: Fergus Falls, Minnesota

The record would indicate that three girls with the same last name were married on the same day with the same set of witnesses .

That looks like a good possible, except for the name of spouse.
I have seen him as Kristoffer, Christopher, Christ and other variants.
Never as Markus. ( possible mistake? )
Christ. was born 1849 would have been 36 or so in 1885

Once again you people amaze me, with little to go on you locate
her in short order. One question: how does one access the United
States ELCA records? Thanks again Charlie Myhre
