Johne Olsen Buer, born 1870, emigrated to U.S.A sometimes after march 1896. He returned sometime before 1910.
During his stay he supposedly worked as a private guard/police/sheriff in a mining town. Is it possible to find him anywhere in the U.S in this time period?

Regards,
Tor

I would be very surprised if he didn't, but I need to do some research on that. A lot of people from this region moved to the U.S.

EDIT:
A very quick research show that Johnes half-brother Jacob Olsen (b. 1860) Moved to America in 1883.

Family on Steensland in 1865 for the half-brother

1865

And his baptism record, looks to me like the May 19, 1860.

#39

A family tree on Ancestry identifies the Jacob Olsen from Hayward Sawyer Wisconsin as a different person. Shows him as Jacob Oliver Olsen from Sør-Trøndelag

1865

His baptism record, looks like Feb 26, 1860.

#22

Need a little work to sort that out
