In the McHenry county history story about the family it states that Otilie came to her uncle Charlie Berg in McHenry county.

There was a Charles Berg at Velva and his story is on the next page after Carl and Otilie's:

This Charles Berg came to US in 1891. This likely is his departing Norway record:

Betsy Otilie Berntsdatter left Norway in 1906 headed to North Dakota for work:

Ancestry indexes Betsy's arrival at New York this way:
Name: Otlie Betey Berentsen
Arrival Date: 14 Jun 1906
Birth Date: abt 1885
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Ethnicity/ Nationality: Scandinavian
Port of Departure: Liverpool, England
Port of Arrival: New York, New York, USA
Ship Name: Oceanic

The original manifest says the uncle she is going to at Velva, N.D. is Johan Berg,

There is this fellow in McHenry county in 1900:

It might be interesting to find who this uncle is or if its just a convenient story.
