Thanks.
Going back to Ole "the found" - a little suspicious to me that a traveler to the East would just "find" an infant to take back home to Lægreid farm. What could be the reason? Could there be some connection or even a illegitimate son?

The 1865 census captured she and her son in Voss AND it states that she was born in Voss.
If her father's name on her birth/baptismal record (in Voss) matches the bride's father's name on that marriage you see in 1869 then it is probably the same woman.

Skånevik and Sund.??? why looking there?

You also have the purblished books about Voss that you could make efforts to consult. “Ættebok for Vossestrand”, by Lyngvaer, Roald; “Historie om Undvandrigen fra og Vossingerne i Amerka”, by Rene, K.A.; “Vossaboki”, 4 volumes by Kindem, Lars (Apr 2013 online at www.ullstad.com/index.htm?/vossaboki/vossaboki.htm); “Gamalt frå Voss”; “Voss bygdebok”; “Tingbok Voss”, 3 volumes by Anna Kløve; “Gardssoge for Vossestrand: Vinje Sokn” by Torstein Hellesnes.

It means he was placed under guardianship, normally due to mental illness or mental retardation.

Thanks.
On the handwritten record 3rd column, there are some names - but maybe they are witnesses.

Great. Are they likely to be relatives? Can you make out the names?

Hard to make out the names... looks like Knud Wikaas(?) and Knud Olsen Bryn. Likely not relatives but friends.
