Yes. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:N4GT-VHW
Note that Eli is the mother to child a-h, incl Kari Elisabet Seim. The mother to child i-m is Brynjulvs 2nd wife Gjertrud Håvardsdatter.

Austlandet means "Eastern country" and is the yellow circle in the map, as an opposite to Vestlandet, "Western country" which is the region Eidfjord (red dot) is in.
That he was found there by people from Legreid farm in Eidfjord makes me very surprised. In 1805 people did not travel from west to east like that... very strange indead...

I have played a little with the idea of who could have travelled to the eastern part of Norway and found this infant wrapped in silk.
Looking at the 1801-census, there are about 30 adult males living under the Lægreid farm. Most of them are farmers or cotters.
It's possible they could have traveled to a wedding, or to a market to sell apples. The fruit from the region is recognized as the best in Norway.
But most interesting are the two soldiers living there. They are likely to travel over longer distances.
One will probably not find an answer to this, but interesting to play a little with the possibilities...

Very strange indeed. Sounds a little like Moses being found as a infant. Interesting possibilities of who may have traveled that far.

You showed 1865 Census where Olav Samsonsen 7 living with single mother Brita 35. Found a marriage of Samson Olsen to Britha Torbjornsdr 31 Oct 1861 at Starndebarm, Hordaland. Family Search attached to Samson Olson MX3B-MQK and Britha MX3B-M7S. Could this be parents of our Olav Samsonsen born 1859 ?

Perhaps father to another child since there doesn't actually appear to be a farm named "iverberg'?

Thanks for clarification. Good lesson - never make assumptions based on uncommon names. Lots of people have uncommon names and may get together.

Trouble with the law - too many illegitimate children? Was this 1864?

Who is this Samson Olsen Tverberg - finding a lot of possibilities?

The Penal Code Ch.18 § 25 from 1842 which was the cause for Samson's 15 days on bread & water:
"A man, who has made 3 different women pregnant, without having been married to any of them, is punished with imprisonment."

3 strikes, you're out. If this was 1864, looks like he didn't reform as you found another illegitimate child in 1867.

Anything known about this Samson's parentage or possible marriage?

So the adjudication was in 1864 that means there is one more baby before that we haven't surfaced yet.

Here is Samson's father Ole Samsons Tverberg's death:

No harm, no foul. The baby was baptized the same day the parents married 14 Nov.

Takes amazing search skills to find all this good stuff!

In 1867, looks like Samson dodged the bullet and stayed out of prison.

On the 1892 marriage, looks like the bride is a lot younger born 1863,

That would be my supposition.

Elen with her birth family in 1865, her parents were born in Vos:
https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/census/person/pf01038384000504

Elen as a widow with one child in 1891 census:
https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/census/person/pf01052973005427

Elen marries a gentleman even older than Samson in 1886:
https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/view/327/pv00000000966151

Knut on his own in 1920 census:
https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/census/person/pf01074006007096

Knut in a household 1910 with many people and a couple of them with last name Seim:
https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/census/person/pf01036680006490

In an announcement titled Umyndiggjørelse a Knut Kjeldsen Takla is mentioned dated 18 Feb 1905, signed by Lars Abrahamson.
