Here is an interesting connection between the children. It would appear that Ole Larson and Lawrence Larson may have married sisters. Based on the 1900 Census the wife of Lawrence, Mary Elliot was born July 1973 in Iowa. The is likely the family in the 1880 Census living in Sheridan, Kansas.

In the 1880 Census the child named Ella is probably actually named Cordelia and became the wife of Ole Larson, bother of Lawrence. Brother of Cordelia is seen in this Census and in the 1880 Census as well.

Something of a mystery is what happened with Martin and Ann Larsen after the 1895 Kansas Census. Most of the Trees on Ancestry have Ann Larsen dying 1923 and being buried in Nebraska.

Son Ole Larson and wife Cordelia Elliot Larson were living in Ada, Bosie, Idaho in 1930. I wonder if there is a connection between that residence and this death notice?

Cordelia Larson
Census • United States Census, 1930

I think the connection to Greenwood California may be an error as the original record gives the cemetery as named Greenwood.

Now a Martin Larson did die in Boise in 1920. But if he died in January 1920 could he still be counted in the 1920 US Census ? Maybe, it looks to me like the Census is dated January 10, 1920.

The husband of Elisabeth is also the brother of Ann wife of Martin. Small world I guess.

This is likely the family arriving into New York in 1884. They used the last name of Hegre, which made them a little difficult to find. Father is called M L, and then mother Anne and some of the children. Elisabeth, John, Mauritz, and Gustava.

Hegre was the farm they were living on when Mauritz was born in 1881.

https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/view/255/pd00000023370454

And where the family was living on in the 1875 Census

https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/census/person/pf01052246002044

They are going to Scandia, Kansas which is only about 30 miles from Jewell County.

Interesting Jackie. So Mrs. Frank Elliot appears to be Elisabeth Larson. And Frank Elliot is the brother of Mary Elliot and Cornelia who are married to the two brothers Lawrence and Ole. Very small world. Frank shows up in the 1880 Census as well.

I think you posted the 1900 Census earlier for her and her sister Gustava.

Not so wild but one reason that there might be such connections is that a family becomes a known quantity and then it's like an endorsement that they are safe or okay.
