Ok, I know this topic is super old (2004) but I just found it today. I have recently started doing my geneology research on my birth family and find that a lot of info on this particular post if what I am finding from myown research on my birth mother's side of the family.
Cathe: Any input wouldbe appreciated!
My birth mother's father was Thorsten Sanders. Pretty sure his father had the same name and his mother's name was Magnhild Krernstuen (Kvernstuen, Christophersen, Kristoffersen). They came to New Brunwswick, Canada in 1935 from Norway with their children.
If anyone has info, please share!

The Thorsten Sanders that was my grandfather: I do not know his birth date but he died in 2004 in New Brunswick, Canada. His father's name was the same as his I beilieve (or a variation of it), and he (great grandfather) was born in Norway and travelled to New Brunswick in 1935 (Port was Halifax, NS). My grandfather and many sibling were also born in Norway and travelled with their father and mother in 1935 toNew Brunswick via alifax, NS.

Daughters Marie 16, Marit 8 and Berit 3. Place of birth is listed as Sor-Odal, Norway.. The head of the family is listed as having been in Canada before, both 1907 and 1911?

That is the same family, seems like Torsten b. 1887 had left the farm.

Probably the birth record for Ole. A little hard to read the handwriting but the birth date matches the 1910 Census. See #18
