Kiettel Kiettelsen was born Sept 28 (not 29), see #12
he was from the Helland farm, in Sand parish and Stavanger county.

Yes, thank you, we have discovered that the wrong date has haunted entries about him for a long time. It is possible that the minister made a mistake, but the 28th is also repeated for the confirmation entry, so we have decided to trust the church records!

Did you know that Ovidie Berhardine was a twin? - see #116&117
Ovidia and her twin sister were confirmed in 1859, see #71&72

Yes, thank you, we have those references. After we cleared up the error in her last name (Olsen rather than Clausen), we were able to find christenings and confirmations for Ovidia and her twin Anne Elise in the church records. But we have never been able to find them in the 1865 census. The nice people who helped us at the beginning of this thread also had no luck with that. We are still hoping that the information will turn up.

As to the birthdate for Kittel K. Helland. It is even wrong on his tombstone in Stavanger!
