Klara Louise was born out of wedlock Dec 17 1864, her parents were widower Martin Olsen and maiden Nikoline Johannesdatter, both Atlungstadeie.
in a note it is info that she was Nikolines second child born out of wedlock.
The 1865 census a Nekoline Johansdatter and a widower Martin Olsen is at the Larssveen farm. Nekoline has a daughter Clara Martinsdatter.

The puzzle was that we had found in our research Nicoline Augusta Johansen marrying Martin Olsen on 30th May 1869, Tonsberg, 1 child Ole Martinus Mortensen b 27 Nov 1870 Tonsberg, all to be untraceable since. On the IGI found Klara with the same name parents. Now do not think our Nicoline or Martin.

Have made great in roads on Otilie Olafsen's family for the Norweign cousins. However cannot find Otilie's younger sister Anna Ditlefine Olafsen (born 1870 Tonsberg) after she was a god parent for older sister's (Inga Marie Annette Olafsen) child Suerre Nilsen in 1896 Tonsberg. Any help appreciated.

Hi to all,
I may have found Ingeborg, daughter of Otilie,
the word "Pleiedatter" I believe is "adopted daughter". I cannot find the words "Datter fors af foderaadskone" the o has a line through it. Can someone please translate.

Pleiedatter - foster daughter.
Would have prefered to see the record. Believe fors is short for forsørges - if so it says: daughter supported by woman living on pension from estate that was handed over to her successor.

Hi to all,
Have just had another letter from Doris Nygren in USA. She believes there are other relatives in or near Chicago. Magnus Hansen with 3 children in 1907. We believe this to be
Magnus Hansen born 3 December 1855 bapt 18 December 1855, Notteroy, parents (Jens) Jorgen Hansen & Helene Andrea Hansdatter. When Halfdan Hansen, called Alf (cousin to Jorg,Barth, Ingeborg & Dina) went to America with Dina on the Hellig Olav arriving 3 April 1906 he states going to Uncle Magnus in Chicago. I have searched but cannot find a marriage in Norway or record of Magnus or family going to USA. Any help appreciated.

Alan.
