There were over 400 women born between 1842 and 1844 with names LIKE Anna Anderson (including expected spelling variants) in Norway for the 1865 Norwegian census.

You need to search American resources for more information.

Look in US sources for her obituary, any record of her marriage in a church, notes about her in a US church congregation. Also check local histories like county history books, small town histories, or even the history of the church(es) she was a member of.
Look for her parents or any possible siblings in the same US resources - one of them might be mentioned as to WHERE in Norway they came from.

I know these methods can work. My own emigrant great-great grandmother with the common name of Kari Olsdatter/Olsen was mentioned with her year of birth and parish of origin in Norway in the history book of that part of the rural county US where she was an early emigrant from Norway. My great-grandfather's obituary contained the name of the parish in Norway where he was born - it was misspelled and "Americanized" but it was a powerful clue not impossible to work out with by comparing to the names of parishes of Norway. ("Javensnakers" turned out to actually be Jevnaker... go figure.)

Looking more closely at the 1900 US Census might provide a clue. Along with Anna and her family is one Gunnder Enerson listed as cousing. The question is he a cousin of Anna or her husband. If a cousin of Anna it might give a clue to what her name was.

Name: Gunder Enerson
[Gunner Enerson]
Home in 1900: Utica, Crawford, Wisconsin
Age: 28
Birthplace: Norway
Race: White
Gender: Male

Marital Status: Single

On a family tree he is listed as having been born Aug 10, 1871 in Oslo. That might make it a little harder to find his birth record. Although looking closely at the Family Tree they may have mixed data from two different Gunder Enerson. One from Wisconsin and one from Iowa.

The family tree listed his father as Ole Einarson Lassesen, which might be a mixture of names. Anyway the father can be found in Lærdal, Sogn og Fjordane. His father is listed as Einar Lassesen Unreadable and mother is Kari Olsdatter. See number 42 ¨

Lucas, have you not traced Anna's husband back to Lærdal, Sogn og Fjordane, I seem to remember seeing that somewhere but right now cannot remember where.
