Looking at the headstone again, I found the following names attached to it....

Mrs. Kari J. Sime, Born: Nov. 6, 1812 Died: May, 1889
Thomas O. Sime, Born: Jan 5, 1884 Died: July 12, 1893
Karl Olaus O. Sime, Born: Aug 5, 1873 Died: Dec 5, 1896
Mrs Anna A. Sime, Born: July 4, 1872 Died: May 18, 1899
Miss Hannah J. Sime, Born: Nov 3, 1843 Died: Nov 13, 1908

all of these are on one stone, multiple sides. Looking at the family tree provided, I do not think this Kari Sime, Mother of Anna Anderson. Dates are a bit off but need a second opinion, what do you think?

Ancestry.com shows only one Kari Sime living in Crawford, Wisconsin. I think you have seen this 1880 Census before, but this is Kari Sime living with her daughter Brita and her husband Ole T Sime. They are living next to Anna Sime and her son Andrew, who is living next to Lewis Jackson brother of Andrew Jackson whom Anna later marries. It may very well be that ths Kari is the mother of Anna. The only other Kari Sime that shows up in an Ancestry.com search lives in Minnesota in the 1880 census.

Hi,

So who are the parents of Ole T. Sime? The way Kari appears in this household as mother means she has to be Ole's mother or Brita's mother. Look for the birth record of Ole T. Seim to see if his mum is a Kari or not.

When I was at Utica Church this last Friday, I took many pictures. I have since added all of them to Find-A-Grave but came across these two sitting side by side.

Looking at the gravestone on the back, there is a Anna A. Sime : Here is the picture:

This is attached to the same stone as Kari Sime.

We know there was a Anna Sime but they do not match up to the records of Anna passing away in 1913.

And they do not match up to the tree you gave me regard Kari's other daughter Anna.

So, I am wondering if this Anna A (Anderson) Sime is my Anna Anderson married to Andrew Jackson.

According to the tree. Ole Mother was named Anna Bardsdatter Hovland. It probably is Brita's Mother.

Hi,
Well your Anna was born in 1838 not 1872, so no minor discrepancy there, if this is she. And your Anna was found alive in the 1900 census, tough to be counted if dead in 1899.

But who is Anna 1872? Do you know if any of Ole or Brita's boys married an Anna ? Look at the Crawford county marriages again for any marriage by a Sime male to an Anna between roughly 1889-1899. In particular, what do you know about Karl Olaus Sime, a fellow stonemate?

Again the church registers may reveal all. If you can get on microfilm, you may study at your leisure for a month and decide.

No male Sime married to an Anna found in CRAWFORD CO., WISCONSIN MARRIAGE RECORDS - (1888-1907) GOOMS (R - Z)

However an Anna Sime married an Andrew Natvig March 26, 1894 in Soldiers Grove , Wisconsin.

But whould she not be Mrs Anna Natvig on the gravestone.
