Thomas Thompson, born 1836?, father Nickolai Thompson, mother Mary Thompson, both born Norway. This information was taken from Thomas marriage license to Mary Thommason.(Nov 2, 1876 Bloomer, Chippewa, Co, Wisconsin) He died 1885, Sioux Creek, Barron ,Wisconsin from a lumbering accident. I can't seem to find any info on the family before the marriage. Ii would like to know the spelling of Thompson, where in Norway did they come from and anything else I can find about my Great Great Grandparents. If he had brothers or sisters in Wisconsin?

Did Thomas Thompson's father also live in America and if so did he live in Wisconsin as well. Only problem here is that this Nickolai was born in 1923 which would have made him 13 when he fathered Thomas.

Census-1880 above seems correct.
Son George Thomson getting married in 1901.
Wife Mary Ann Thomason seems to be of English heritage.
Mary Ann Thompson married Austin Granger on 05 Feb 1886 in Dallas, Barron Co. WI.
Mary Ann Granger in census-1900.
Mary Ann married a 3rd time to William Pearson in 1910. She died 03 May 1940 in Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada.

If he came as a baby he should be in the early census. I cant seem to find a death certificate for Nick or Thomas either.

The 1880 census is them, I found this earlier. The story I was told was that Mary Thomason met Thomas Thompson on the ship when they immigrated and married soon after, but the history of Barron County said he came over as a small infant. So I don't know.

I realise there is a age problem with the "Nick" in the 1860, 1900 and 1910 Census and your Thomas, however they did occupy the same counties in Wisconsin. You mentioned that Thomas was married in Chippewa County and died in Barron County. and in the 1880 Census he lived in Dunn County. The "Nick" listed above lived in Chippewa County in 1860 and 1900 Census and in Dunn County in the 1905 Wisconsin Census. That is a lot of coincidence.
