The link to Norwayheritage list for Hebe in 1862 also reveals the Hebe voyage in 1863 since it mentions 66 people from Suldal, Sands going on the voyage.
It's an interesting phenom in some districts--if a family or group of families from a parish have a "successful" trip to America, then subsequent emigrants from the parish try to book passage on the same vessel and or with the same captain. In Hallingdal that is why so many folks came on Drafna, Sjofna and Sirius as well as with Captains Ekersberg and Deckmann. |

The 1843 confirmation record for Anders Thormodsen shows he is born on Nordmork farm in Suldal.
Another invisible thread, perhaps... |

Considering that Sophie Anderson, sister of Anna sister-in-law of Walter, was living with the family in 1910; and that at least one of the children were raised or lived in Minnesota after 1920; maybe Sophie was there to help Anne whose health may have already been compromised and that Anne and children returned to Minnesota?
There are 3 Ann/ Anna/ Anne Thompson deaths in Fillmore county between 1910 and 1920. Here is the first in 1914, the other two died in the first half of 1920. (Since the 1920 census was taken in January that year, and Walter is listed as a widower in the 1920 census, the 1914 death is most ripe for exploration):
THOMPSON, ANNA Date of Birth: na Place of Birth: na Mother Maiden Name: na certid# 1914-MN-004186 Date of Death: 01 Dec 1914 County of Death: FILLMORE
Eliminated from consideration. |

Dear Contributers, Wonderful new information! Thank you--am piecing this together-- Ana Thompson born 1905 is not coming up on census for Colorado or Minnesota, as her sister, Esther V is for 1930 census with the Nordhouse family. Walter G. and Ernest A. are not found after the 1920 census- It seems that many of Walter's siblings and others are in the Fillmore area-- Many thanks for all your assistance--will continue on the quest Diane |

Jackie, Good point about Sophia, sister of Anna, going with her back to MN with the two girls--from Denver-where my granpa Clifford went into the Navy, and as Walter G. and Ernest being in Denver 1920 census- then the funeral home WP Horem, Denver, may not be where Anna Thompson laid to rest?? |

THOMPSON, ERNEST Date of Birth: 26 OCT 1900 THOMPSON, CLIFFORD Date of Birth: 14 APR 1903 THOMPSON, ALICE Date of Birth: 29 MAR 1905 THOMPSON, ESTHER V. Date of Birth: 17 JAN 1908
All these children are born in Fillmore, MN.
You said that Esther married Earl Lamb. Interestingly, I found one Esther born 17 JAN 1908, who died just 4 years ago in Denver. I wonder if Esther could be Esther I Wiig, born on January 17, 1908, died on January 11, 2010 in Denver, CO. |
