Why did Anders move to Mo in 1872?

You could look for Aase whatever her patronymic is, in the 1865 census and search the parish registers where her name occurs for Lars b. 1867 in that parish's registers.

Anders went to Mo 1872 because on Oct. 11. he married Aase Halvorsdatter.
Bachelor Anders Gundersen was from Ĝverland in Seljord.
Fathers; Gunder Jĝrgensen and Halvor Tovsen, see #14

So Lars Larsen was most likely born in Mo.

Well according to my calculations he came to Mo because he happened to get single mother Aase pregnant.

1867 - Aase has a son Lars Larsen to a man called Lars Larsen
1872 - Moves to Mo
1872 - October 11 marries Aase
1873 - March 23 Aase gives birth to Gunder

So Aase was well pregnant before they married.

Thank you Kċre...great to discover that my Aase came from a large family with many more brothers and sisters to trace.
Very exciting.

You are welcome.

Aase had many siblings, Lars 18 was heir to the farm
Here is her bapt. record from Feb. 9. 1845, she was born Jan. 3. see #6

She was born on another farm, dif. to understand

So with all your tips and research resources I have found Lars Larsen aged 27 who is a painter by occupation lodging with his father Lars Johansen on their farm 'Skothe' (source 1865 census for Kviteseid).
I wonder now how he crossed paths with Aase and where he ended up...did he emigrate to the USA?

And how did Anders and Aase meet as well.

There is only one Aase born in Seljord in 1844-1845 in the parish registers. She is an Aase Vetlesdatter. Here is an Aase Halvorsdatter b. abt 1844 in Seljord in the 1865 census:

Perhaps it should have said Mo instead of Silgjord?
