Did the earlier search consider her name could be Isabel? Betsy can be a nickname for Isabelle - and one record names her Betsy Bell.

Christin a boy or girl? We wouldn't have looked at those folks because the fact they're in US in 1856 wouldn't match the narrative that Betsy came to US as a teenage

Christin is a boy, and yes the date of 1856 is a problem with issue of arrival date. The other problem is finding any other information on this group.

My sincere apologies for the delay in responding. A few things came up that kept me away from genealogy for a few days. Last night I started doing searches through the link you provided. It's very easy to use, so I really appreciate your bringing it to my attention and the searches you did on your own. So far I haven't found any really good candidates to pursue, but I'm still doing searches.

For now I am assuming that Betsy has only one sibling, a brother. But I am trying to keep an open mind about that and also about her birth year.

Thank you for taking an interest!
