The residence for Karen and Even corresponds with what the book says.
I have trouble reading the old script, but I think a Lars Larsen Suderud is baptism godparent for both Peder and Inge.
Inge was born on Kartomten Godparents; Mikkel Pedersen Øvre Kartomten and Lisbeth Pedersdatter, Lars Larsen Suderud, Agnethe Andersdatter Kartomten.

The trouble I'm having is in the marriage record. The vaccination record is referenced in each of the marriage records.
In one case the vaccinator is Georgene Hamer (or Hauser or Hammer? the mark appears to be above the consonant m or n and mostly my experience those lines above a letter like that are used for vowels) and a full date of 8 Oct 1836 is given. In the entry with the full vaccination date the father's name is given as L. Mikelson.
In the actual vaccinations from 1836 in Vang, Georgene did not give any on 8 Oct the date in the marriage record. For the majority of her vaccinations the date is 3 Oct. Examining the actual baptism records looking for Karen Larsdatter to match the 3 vaccinations in 1836, there appear to be a number of possibles. Roughly from my notes ( I'll come back in with the links)

Of those Karen, only one was born in September - father Lars Larsen. Death record in US says her birth month was September. 1900 census in US gives her birth month as September. 1865 census in Norway says she was born in Vang. There are only just so many births to choose from, if one accepts Vang as her birthplace.
In Peder's birth record, does the father Even look like Pedersen? To my eyes it did, which is suggestive of the pastor making errors. Also the stated vaccination date in Karen marriage record does not match the recorded vaccinations. The priest is a sloppy record keeper??
As the latest posts show, the US family knowledge is mostly proving correct, give or take.
Would a bygdebok clear up the questions? |

Well, I didn't find any Karen born to a Lars Mikelson in Vang 1834-1837. Likewise, there were no Caroline Larsdatters born during the same time. The problem is the marriage record contains the statement that her father's name is L Mikelson which might be a flaw or is it some other sort of flaw in the vaccination reference? Lots of details are wonky in this parish's records which doesn't fill me with confidence. If this were my search, I'd wish for more clarity even with some circumstantial erifications in US records.
History of the farm Suderud might help. In ambling through the baptisms and confirmations there were a couple of kids whose father's names were Christopher Larsen Suderud and Erik Larsen Suderud. Erik Larsen was faddernes to at least one of the Karen Larsdatters |

Lars Larsen and Ingeborg Halvorsdatter had a son Lars Larsen 21 April 1827 in Vang - transcription on Family Search: https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:N4P8-5V5
The churchbook record, same birth Source: Hedmark fylke, Vang, Ministerialbok nr. 9 (1826-1841), Fødte og døpte 1827, side 7. #80
They were living on Stokseth, if I read it right - as with Karn 1834 birth.
So the later reference to Lars Larsen Suderud as a godparent to Peder and Inge could be this Lars.... could be.... |

Stokseth is the same farm as Ødegaarden mentioned earlier, also mentioned as Stokseth Ødegaarden.
