Have you found their marriage record. Not good news for finding a baptism record. "The christening books for 1760-1827 were burned in the church fire of 8 Feb 1830"

Here is the baptism record for their first son Hans Peder b 1832

Among the fadder are Hans Pedersen Nordvolden

Have you tried the confirmation records. If he was born in 1804 or around their he should be confirmed about 1818 to 1822.

A few candidates that need some further looks. Hard to read at first look.

Jacob Hansen bought Nordvolden in 1831, and put it up for sale in 1850.
Below is an add from the newspaper Morgenbladet July 16th, 1850. The farm was evntually sold to Engebret Olsen i 1851. Could 1851 be the year they emigrated?

Farm for sale
A small farm close to Skedsmo church,
where there are good houses and a small fruit garden, the soil can feed 1-2 horses and 4-5 cattles,
are up for sale if you contact the owner Jacob Hansen Nordvolden.

Hans Pedersen Nordvolden is too young to be Jacobs father. This Hans P. N. lives on the neigboring Nordvolden farm
Hans Pedersen Nordvolden (1791-1872), m. 1821 Berthe Larsdr (1804-1837), daughter to church assistant Lars Holter.
Children
1. Kirstine Petrine 1822
2. Petter Andreas 1823
3. Louise Marie 1826
4. Andreas 1829
5. Kirsten Marie 1831, married Gullbrand Haagensen Ullereng
6. Bernt Lauritz 1833, married Maren Jacobsdr

Hans Pedersen Nordvolden and daughter Louise Marie Hansdr Nordvolden are two of the sponsors at Peters baptism, but I can't see any relationship to Jacob at first glance. But they live in the house/farm next door, so neighbours for many years...

Since there appears to be a dearth of records from Skedsmo, don't be too quick to dismiss the fadder names as unlikely relatives. For instance Jacob is a Hansen and Louise is a Hansdatter, maybe they are siblings. Still too early to rule any relationship in or out yet. Most likely as discussed in Jan's previous post. Hans is also the bondsman when Jacob's daughter Sophie is married.

What are the names of all the children?
Sophie
Helene
Hans Peder
Martha
Hans Peter

Josephine from the passenger list is a granddaughter.
