I think that Olene C Gulleksdatter and Bodil Kristine Gunlefsdatter are the same person. The first wife was named Torhi Torgirsdatter. All children in the census born before 1855 are hers.

There are 6 children. Who belongs to whom? According to the marriage for Bodil 11 Nov 1855, Torkild and Torgir were not hers. Not sure where to put the others.

Birth record for Bodil Kirstina, father is Gunlef Torjursen, mother not readable by me. See #7 right hand page. Baptized 21 April 1831. I can not explain why the 1865 Census lists the wife as Olene C Gulleksdatter and her birth year as 1835.

It would appear that Tormund Torkilsen Vasbø and Bodil Kristina Gunlefsdatter had children past the 1865 Census. Here is an Ole born in 1867. See #11.

The entry for Ole looks like 22 Jun or is it Jan? Tollef is 31 Jul?

Am I correct that Carl Omundsen is Bodel Carlsdatter's father? Would I use Hofve as his surname? And his wife Bodil Tollagsdatter the surname Steenberg?

Not sure what the birtplaces are for all the children. I have put Bjerkreim Parish, Helleland, Norway. Is this acceptable? Is there a better alternative?

The many thanks continue for the invaluable help. The only puzzle left to solve for us is the relationship between Theodor 29 Apr 1885 and Jonas 4 Sep 1873. There has to be a convergence of the families since Jonas father, Ole, evidently sponsored Theodor to the US, lived together in Montana and even listed him as "son" in the 1900 census. But still have not found the relationship. Very frustrating. Hoping it clears up.
