We do have Johan Gustav Alfred in 1910 census posted, in Norway.
.
We need more eyes on Julie's passenger manifest, to decipher who she is going to (would be on page 2 of the listing for her).

Even if it is the same Anders Petter, seems improbable the Eigersund family knew the Flugstad clan (though would not be the first startling news in this group).

Ingeborg, the wife of the candidate Anders Peter, is listed as a widow in 1910:

The candidate Anders Peter (father of Johan Gustav Alfred) died in 1903, Ogna i Eigersund:

He stuck to his story, to his dying breath, that he was born in Bråttensby.

I know, jk, I know....(sigh).......
I cannot keep up. My 15 year-old son asks my 11 year-old daughter for computer help, 'cuz even he's getting left behind.
And I had Cut and Paste down pat, but switched to a Mac a year ago. Last week, I finally learned how to properly turn it on.

I might be a few months older than Rob (having used my sleuthing skills to deduce that - note Rob's post re year his mother was pregnant) so please watch it with the "old man" references, lol.

Oslo.
By Ellen Bjercke and Gordon Robert Hancock. (It's quite a gnarled tree)
No secrets from the youngish old man here.

If someone would read and transcribe it, great. I'll try:
Anders birth date ---
Birth place Bråttensby?

Railway supervisor Anders Petter Johannesen from Bråttenberg, Elfsborg in Sweden, born Aug 21 1851 and Ingeborg Johannesdatter from Skovene in Ogna, born Aug 27 1855 were married Sept 22 1877.

Anders Peter and Ingeborgs daugter Ellen Josefine Gustine was born in Hedrum, Vestfold, #46.
Here a wrong date for their marriage in Egersund is given and they are both said to come from Sweden!

My Bad

When I looked up the arrival of Julie Andersen in 1910 into New York, I was in somewhat of a hurry and neglected to look at page 2 for more information. Jane's comment on needing more informaton on her from page 2 jogged my feeble brain and I went back to the original manifest and looked at page 2. Here is what I found.

Julie was going to her friend Mr. (last name hard to read, best guess) Gubrdess, Grand Rapids, Mich.Address could be 46 Grand Avenue.

Thanks, elbache. His only demerit is that danged birthplace of his, and we cannot yet connect him to those romps in Faaberg. (I've blurred my vision further trying to find matching Fadders, but the old priests were seemingly using Norse hieroglyphics or too much sacramental wine. Or both.)
Meanwhile, I stumbled across another possible: Anders Peter Johanneson (13.06.1850; Sverige) - ungkar jernbanearbeider married an oddly ciphered Maria @Mana@Stina Andersd. (17.05.1854) on 8.11.1879 in Kraakstad.
They do not appear (for me, anyway) in subsequent censuses, nor in any birth registers for the following three years at least.
(I believe parents at the time warned daughters about those rascally railroad workers: the birth registers of 1877 to 1882 in Akershus are fairly bursting with the devilish rogues.)

Only now noticed that Julie information. Merci a vous.
