Confirmation in Gr;nland menighet in Oslo. Last entry: https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20060227040870

Which means that this is probably her 1865 census entry: https://www.digitalarkivet.no/census/person/pf01038027039865

This latter match is the reason I decided to read through the Gr;nland confirmation protocol in the firts place.

Good finds by Tore, I left you a suggestion on your post in Digitaarkvet to post in the main forum. If you do that you should post this new info as well.

Almost certainly. In the original record here, the father is Matros Halvor Svendsen, and they are listed as living at Lakkegaden, which is also where Anette is found in the 1865 census. The deceased child is described as uægte (born out of wedlock) so the parents were still not married in 1853.

Another stillborn in 1856: https://www.digitalarkivet.no/view/267/pg00000006009687 Not necessarily the same parents this time, but in the original here, the father is described as Styrmand, i.e., mate, i.e., sailor.

Must be missing something here as it is proving tough to find any information on the parents before the birth of Annette Hansine.

Using the baptism record search function on Ancestry., There are 271 females born in Os, Hordalland from 1817 to 1837 with father named Ole. There are none of them any version of Pauline.

There are no Pauline born in Os in that time frame no matter the father's name.

In fact there is only one Pauline born in Hordaland during that same time frame.

Pauline Marie Olsen
in the Norway, Select Baptisms, 1634-1927
Name Pauline Marie Olsen
Gender Female
Birth Date 15. des 1829 (15 Dec 1829)
Baptism Date 1. jan 1830 (1 Jan 1830)
Baptism Place Korskirken, Bergen, Hordaland, Norway
Father
Ole Samuelsen Rogsund
Mother
Berte Chrestine Olsdr
FHL Film Number 123720

She died the same year she was born.

Looks like she died a few days after giving birth, given the preceding entry with the same address. And indeed, entries 672 and 673 in the city death protocol match 125 and 124 in the church book. Here, Pauline is named as the deceased baby's mother. More is written about Pauline in the next column, but I can't read it: https://www.digitalarkivet.no/sk20081219320248

The baby's father was apparently a Carl.

It looks like Johan and Anette left for US in 1885 about 2 months after Jenny Hansine was born:
Johan : https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/view/9/og00000000020355
Anette: https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/view/9/og00000000020356
Helga : https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/view/9/og00000000020357
Elfin: https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/view/9/og00000000020358
Jenny Hansine: https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/view/9/og00000000020359

Their destination is Stronach which is a township in Manistee county Michigan.

Their arrival at New York # 226-229 and 232:
